More on Foreshadows: The Ghosts Of Zero

Posted: October 8, 2010 in General Stuff, Music

Foreshadows: The Ghosts of Zero is a unique and thrilling 19-story anthology of dark science fiction paired with a 19-track album of original soundtrack songs and instrumentals, created collaboratively, from both up-and-coming and veteran authors of fantasy/science fiction and musicians. This high-quality book-and-CD combination is slated for release in early 2011.

Foreshadows: The Ghosts of Zero is an innovative, independent project that neither traditional publishing nor standard music distribution avenues are accustomed to, and as such, is looking for sponsors through our Forging Foreshadows campaign. Watch the video and check out the Kickstarter page where it’s posted. Contribute if you can, and select one of the many available special offers as a ‘thank you’ gift. Spread the link, encourage others to do the same.

Additional information including audio interviews with contributors, music samples, podcasts and more can be found at www.foreshadows.net. New content is being added every week so check back often and/or sign up to receive the newsletter!

What I posted above just about sums the whole thing up – if you check out the links above you’ll get a bit more insight into it.

What the project does need, however, is cash. And fairly quickly as well.  So I’d like to direct you to the Kickstarter page linked above – I believe you’ll need to be a member of Amazon.com to contribute, but I’m sure there are ways round that. If you contact the good people at the Foreshadows link they should be able to advise you.

My role in this is actually fairly limited – I wrote most of the music for one track and contributed to a couple more – so most of the credit for this has to go to a number of other people, not least John and Jeff LaSala and Bilian, although a look at the Forging Foreshadows page will show you how many people are actually involved. This project has had a long and complicated history – one that might be fully revealed one day –  and it would be great if it actually happened now. So go and have a look at the links above and feel free to dig into your pocket if you want.
